闷作为一种情绪,通常在缺乏刺激和动力的情况下出现,让人生起无所事事、无法投入的感觉。虽说一般人对这种情感都不会陌生,但具体感受、表现以及应对方式,不仅因人而异,亦有由时代和地域带来的分别,文化差异是“沉闷研究”中的一个重要因素。踏入数字时代,信息爆炸,娱乐选项源源不绝,社交媒体全天候提供与人联结的机会,网上学习日趋普遍,不同社会都得面对和经历愈来愈媒介化的生活,相似的媒介文化,俨然成为不少人的“共同经验”。本文尝试从心理学、社会学和哲学的观点着手,整理沉闷研究中的关键课题,结合对数字媒体生态的观察,探讨媒体研究在“沉闷研究”中的位置和意义。

This study is interested in the roles of media in the modern boredom phenomenon.In view of the proliferation of information,entertainment and sociality in the digital age,it seems that“boredom”,which is generally related to a state of dull and unengaged mind,does not really matter anymore.Through a review of relevant literature in psychology,sociology and philosophy,we identified a few keywords and discussed how they were related to media studies.
